Annual Letter

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

We thank God for his love and care to us throughout this year.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our friends abroad for their continuing support to our Community in health, education, finance and spirituality. I mention a few of our donors, but this is not a complete list: the CSP Sisters, U.K., the Board of the African Sisters Trustees, U.K., the Friends of Masasi and Newala, U.K., Partner Sein, Switzerland, Old Catholic in Germany, Members of Anglican Aid Abroad, Australia, the Diocese of Milwaukee/Wisconsin’s U.S.A. and friends inside and outside the country. Through your help, we were able to help the sick, the widows, the orphans and those who are in need of food and other things. Your help is highly appreciated. God Bless.

On 3rd December, 2023 our beloved Sr. Ethel Mary CMM passed away a\er having an opera-on. She died at the age of 76 years and 57 years of life vows. May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory. Amen.

On 8th December, 2023 the Ex-Mother Superior Sr. Gloria CMM passed away. She died at the age of 73 years and 48 years of life vows. May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory. Amen.

It was a difficult for us to lose two of our Sisters within such a short time of each other.

Education:

Our Kilimani Day Care Center is doing well. The number of children has increased to sixty. We have plans to start building the primary school next year if we get funds. The parents are persuading us to open a primary school as they don’t want to take their children away from our school.

The St. Mary’s Pre & Primary School at Newala is doing well. They have already built a new primary school up to standard seven. They hope to open it early next year. We thank very much the Diocese of Milwaukee/Wisconsin’s U.S.A. who made it possible for their great support. God Bless them.

The St. Mary’s Pre & Primary School at Njombe is doing well. They are still looking for funds to build a secondary school.

The Sayuni House have started a Kindergarten School this year and it is doing well. Plans are under way to open a nursery school next year. Also they are expecting to open an orphanage early next year. The buildings are receiving their final touches.

Two Sisters are studying at University College and one Sister is taking an accounting course and another Sister is taking a pharmacy course.

Here below are some pictures of our children at the Masasi Day care Centre, Gradua-on Day, Newala and Sayuni Nursery School.
